Gurdwara Guru Chaunki Jhira Sahib is located at
Basali in
Rupnagar District. The gurdwara has been built in memory of the visit of
Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.
During the course of time, some local people occupied the gurdwara and converted it into their residence. In 1982, Gurdwara Guru Chaunki Jhira Sahib was rebuilt. It has a flat roofed hall and two separate three storied domed structures. The main attraction is a low wooden seat, called chaunki, which is said to have been used by Guru Gobind Singh during his visit.
