Gurdwara Ghai Ghat

Situated at Alamganj in Patna, about 4 km from Harimandir Saheb, Gurdwara Ghai Ghat is a sacred place of the Sikhs. This Gurdwara was the residence of a great devotee of Guru Nanak called Bhagat Jaitamal. Guru Nanak sanctified this place in 1509. It is believed that Guru Tegh Bahadur had stayed here for about four months. The Gurdwara preserves many sacred objects such as the grind stone of Mata Gujri, Rabeck of Mardana and a place called Thara Saheb where Guru Tegh Bahadur used to sit during his visit. A tree along with two relics is also preserved well. Dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev, Gurdwara Ghai Ghat is popularly known as Gurdwara Pahila Bara.
