Gurdwara Garhi Sahib is situated at
Chamkaur Sahib in
Rupnagar District of
Punjab. It has been built in the memory of Sikh martyrs who fought against the Mughal army.
This gurdwara is also known as Tilak Asthan because here, according to one tradition, Guru Gobind Singh is said to have granted Guru-ship to the Panth Khalsa. The present building of this gurdwara was established later, demolishing an old gurdwara erected by Maharaja Karam Singh of Patiala.
