Gurdwara Damdama Sahib is located, on the
Outer Ring Road area, in
New Delhi and is near the famous
Humayun's Tomb. This gurdwara is dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh guru. The marble building is renowned for is beauty.
Gurdwara Damdama Sahib serves as a memorial for the historic meeting in 1707 of the Guru with the Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. The emperor, when still at the stage of a prince, had asked for the Guru’s assistance in ascending the throne of Delhi. The emperor ascended the throne with Guru’s active help and strategy.
