Gurdwara Banda Bahadur Sahib is a renowned Gurdwara located about 2 km from the historic
Qutab Minar. It is the place where Banda Singh Bahadur, a disciple of Guru Gobind Singh, was brutally killed by the emperor Muhammad Farrukhsiyar. It is believed that Banda Singh, also known as Madho Das, was a wondering yogi who became a true follower of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs. In order to fight for Sikh rights, he was sent to Punjab where he was captured in 1715 along with his followers and brought to
