Gujjri Naach is a simple and charming dance form famous among the Gujjar community
Rajouri District,
Jammu and Kashmir. This folk dance is usually organized on the marriage ceremony of a boy. In this dance the male performers embellished in their traditional costumes form a line with sticks in their hands. The female performers on the other side change formations on the rhythm of Dhol (double-sided drum). The performers take long step in forward direction, a small in backward direction then jump forward and start dancing. Gujjri Naach is usually seen accompanied by a folk song.
