Situated about 30 km from
Ludhiana, Gujjarval is a historic hamlet in
Punjab.
Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru, has made this village sacred by his visit.
Devotees believe that the Guru had halted here in 1631 during his travel through the Malva region. Main attraction is a historic shrine Gurdwara Guru Sar Mariji Sahib Chheviri Patshahi. Built in 1935, this
gurdwara looks beautiful with a lotus dome and pinnacle, covered with zinc sheets. There is a square tank attached. The Holy Guru Granth Sahib is well preserved in a wooden cabin. The villagers celebrate all Sikh anniversaries with great fervor.
By road, Phalleval village, famous for an old gurdwara, is only 3 km from here.
