Gubbi

Gubbi is a taluk headquarters in Tumkur District of Karnataka. It is about 18 km west of Tumkur, the district headquarters.

Gubbi is famous as Jain heritage center and has a temple dedicated to Bhagvan Adinatha. Nittur is another famous Jain heritage center near Gubbi. Chelur, famous for a 400-year-old statue of Basava, is about 15 km north of Gubbi.

Gubbi Railway Station is on the Tumkur-Arsikere railway line. Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport.
