Great Evening Brown (Melanitis zitenius) is a dark brown, leaf like butterfly of 8-9.5 cm. It is commonly found in the deep jungles of
Meghalaya. Upper side of the fore wing carries black spots encircled by ochreous area. Fore wing is produced and angular, while hind wing is tailed.
