Government College,
Nedumangad, was established in 1981. The college became a first grade college in 1991 when degree course in Commerce was started with fifty students. The college secured U.G.C. approval in 1997. Degree courses in Economics, History and post-graduate course in History are also offered. A vocational degree course in Commerce with Tax Procedure and Practice as optional subject is also available. Majority of the students belong to the socially and educationally backward classes.
