Gopal Mandir




Gopal Mandir is a famous temple, located in the big market square, in Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh. It was built in the 19th century by Bayajibai Shinde – the queen of Maharajah Daulat Rao Shinde. Lord Krishna is the presiding deity here.

Gopal Mandir is a beautiful marble structure, reflecting Maratha style of architecture. The image of Lord Krishna is molded in silver and is placed on a marble-inlaid structure with silver doors.
