Gondpur is a small hamlet located 22 km south of
Hoshiarpur.
Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru is believed to have stayed here on his way to Kiratpur.
There is a gurdwara named as Gurdwara Tahli Sahib built in honor of Guru Hargobind. Built in 1930, the shrine draws many devotees. With a rectangular hall and a sanctum, this gurdwara has a separate room for the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred book of the Sikhs. The dome is in the shape of lotus and attracts many visitors. During the 1st and 13th day of every Phalgun, special assemblies are held here. Gondpur is enriched with a large number of Tahli trees.
