Goma is located in North Sikkim District of Sikkim and is near the Indo-China border. It is around 64 km north-west of Mangan.

Goma lies near the confluence of Goma Chhu and Phuthung Chhu.

Nearest airport is Civil Enclave Bagdogra. Darjeeling Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
