Located at St. Xavier's College,
Kolkata, Goethals Indian Library and Research Center (GILRS) has a large collection of 18,663 volumes of books and periodicals. It was started by Archbishop Rev. Dr. Paul Goethals SJ and was handed over to the Jesuits of St. Xavier's College in 1908. The collection includes books, journals, periodicals, reports, catalogue published by Dr. Paul Goethals, manuscripts, and artifacts. It offers reference services, bibliographic service, and xeroxing facilities for scholars and researchers.
