Godipara, also spelt Godiparha, is in the southern side of Nayagarh District. Itamati is 10 km away and Dhuanuali is 20 km south. About 10 km north lies Nayagarh, the district headquarters.
Sarankul, roughly 7 km away, is a major Shaivite center. The temple town of Ranpur is nearly 20 km east, near the Nayagarh-Khordha border.
