Girijabandh Hanuman Mandir




Girijabandh Hanuman Mandir is an ancient shrine located at Ratanpur, about 25 km from Bilaspur, in Chhattisgarh. It was built by the Kalchuri King Raja Prithvi Dev in 1170. The temple enshrines Lord Hanuman as the presiding deity. The beautiful statue of Hanuman with Lord Ram on his shoulders is an eye-catching one.

Girijabandh Hanuman Mandir and Vridheshwar Nath Mandir are situated on either side of Ram Tekri and attract thousands of devotees every year.

Shri Mahamaya Devi Mandir, Mahamrityunjaya Panchmukhee Shiv Mandir, Kanthi Dewal Temple and Kaal Bhairav Mandir are the other temple sites situated nearby.

Bilaspur Junction Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Howrah main line is the nearest railhead.
