Girija Temple




Girija Temple is in Phulher village and is dedicated to goddess Girija. The deity is of black stone. The image of Janaki, made of marble, is installed on the right side of goddess Girija. In addition to this, black stone idols of Ganesh, Kali, Durga, Vishnu, and Shiva are also present. A temple of Bhairav and a tank are seen to the right side of the Girija temple. Saurath mela is a festival celebrated in this temple.

Phulher village is 65 km north-west of Darbhanga railway station. Another approach is through the Phulher-Harlakhi road, which passes through the northern side of the temple.
