Ghanta Mrudanga is a traditional musical art form native to
Ganjam District of
Orissa. It is a combination of Ghanta and Mrudanga which together present the folk music of the Vaishnava sects where the main deities worshipped include
Lord Jagannath, Radha and
Krishna.
Ghanta Mrudanga dominate musical scene at Puri during Rath Yatra. The performers are about 10 in number displaying their musical art, in giving rhythms to Mrudanga in different forms.
