Ghansawangi is a town in
Jalna District of
Maharashtra. It lies to the south of
Jalna – the district headquarters.
Ghansawangi was an important place in olden times, which is evident from the broken tanks and numerous dilapidated tombs found here. A major draw is an annual fair held here in honor of Narasimha.
Rani Unchegaon to the north, Tirthpuri to the south-west and Dahegaon to the east are among the surrounding places.
Jalna Railway Station, on the Aurangabad - Nanded line, is the nearest major railhead. Aurangabad Airport is the nearest airport.
