Genesa Ghat




Genesa Ghat is one of the significant ghats on the Ganges River in Varanasi. Formerly known as Agnisvara Ghat, it is referred to as Vighnesvara Ghat in puranic descriptions.

Bhadresvara Temple and Nagesa Vinayaka Temple are the major shrines on this ghat. A special celebration is held here during August - September.

This ghat was built pucca by Madhorao Pesava during the 18th century.
