Gauri Shankar Temple

Gauri Shankar Temple is a 250 year old temple situated in Mohalla Khakra on the banks of the Devha and Khakra. Belief is that the forefathers of the present Pujari Pandit Har Prasad had arrived here with other saints. In a dream, he happened to see Lord Shiva in the night and again his idol in the morning. Taking this as a token of the lord's presence there, a temple was erected.

Every year on the occasions of Shivratri, Raksha Bandhan and on every Monday of the Shravan month a fair is organized here. Outside the temple, there is a dharamshala. There are two entry gates at the eastern and southern side of the temple, which were built by Hafiz Rahmat Khan.
