Gangamma Temple




Gangamma Temple is a famous temple located in a small village called Avaleela in Chittoor District. Dedicated to Goddess Gangamma, this temple attracts thousands of devotees. Devotees believe that Gangamma is the Shakthi Swaroopini, born at Avaleela to kill the cruel ruler Pallegadu. People celebrate the grand festival of Jatara here to commemorate the death of the king. A large number of devotees attend the festival.
