The Ganga Water Rally, a three day long water sporting event through the river
Ganges, is organized every year from 6th to 8th February by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department in association with Delhi Tourism Department. The rally starts from
Allahabad and covers
Vindhyachal,
Mirzapur,
Chunar regions and ends at
Varanasi. It is an event of complete adventure and fun. The participants can use kayaks, canoes or row boats. Ganga Water Rally is the first major water sporting event of its kind in the state of
Uttar Pradesh.
