Gandigunta is located in
Krishna District and is around 20 km south-east of
Vijayawada.
Situated on Vijayawada- Machilipatnam road, Gandigunta houses one of the 16 Datta Nakshatra temples in India. The chief deity of the temple is known as Datta Digambara, an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. A small temple dedicated to Lord Ram is located nearby. Thousands throng to Gandigunta during the major festival of Datta Temple.
Nearest major railhead is Vijayawada Junction Railway Station.
