Gandhi Kustha Nivaran Pratishthan (GKNP), a
Bihar based non-governmental and registered charity came into existence at
Bhabhua in 1960.
The organization works for the upliftment of those inflicted with leprosy and TB. Shri Lakshmi Singh (a freedom fighter) has started a hospital in order to take care of leprosy and TB sufferers. The treatments are offered free of charge. The doctor and the existing staff provide services on a voluntary basis.
