Gandas comprise the scheduled tribes found in the
Sambalpur District of
Orissa and
Korba District of
Chhattisgarh. These tribes are professional pipers and drummers. Main occupation is agriculture. They are also engaged as musicians in marriage ceremonies. Their custom allows marriages with other castes.
