Ganai is located in Almora District of Uttaranchal. It is around 55 km north of Ranikhet.

It lies on the banks of Ramganga River. Chaukhutia and Ganai are separated by a bridge. Ganai provides panoramic views of Doonagiri and Sukhdevi Peaks.
