Galonda is located in the eastern part of Jashpur District. Jashpur Nagar, the seat of administration of the district, is about 15 km west.

Rani Dah Waterfalls and Bhringraj Waterfalls are some of the tourist spots in the region.

National Highway 78 passes nearby. Nearest airport is Raipur Airport. Raigarh Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
