Consecrated by Vyasaraya in 1425, Gali Anjaneya Temple is one of the oldest temples in Bangalore. It is believed to be the sixth of the 635
Hanuman temples established by Vyasaraya. Also called ‘Yedurumukhi Anjaneya Temple’, this is the only Hanuman temple situated at the confluence of two rivers - Vrishabhavathi and Paschimavahini. The deity of Lord Hanuman smeared with bright orange sindhur is installed in the open air without temple roof. Devotees throng here with great faith to get ‘Purna Kripa Drishti’ from the god.
This temple is situated on the
Mysore-Bangalore Road. Bangalore is linked with Mumbai by NH No 4, with Hyderabad (565 km) and Vijayawada (719 km) by NH No 7, and with Mangalore (349 km) by NH 48.
