Established in 1960, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first university in the country to merge technology with agriculture. It is based in Pant Nagar,
Uttaranchal.
Its constituent units are College of Agriculture, College of Agri-Business Management, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, College of Fishery Sciences, College of Hill Agriculture and Forestry, College of Home Science, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and College of Post Graduate Studies.
The campus has hostels, guest houses, schools, guest houses, library, research station, and farm land. Directorate of Training and Placement, a department of the university, assists students in getting jobs in nationalized banks, reputed industries and other corporate sector.
