Fort of Sabalgarh




Fort of Sabalgarh is located about 60 km from Morena, in the Sabalgarh village of Madhya Pradesh. Situated on a high cliff, this fort is one of the magnificent monuments of the medieval age.

The foundation of this fort was laid by Sabla Gujar and was completed by Gopal Singh, the Maharajah of Karoli, in the 18th century. This fort was seized by the army of Sikandar Lodhi. Later, the king of Karoli regained it with the help of the Marathas.

The fort is noted for its scenic backdrop. The highlight is 'Bandh' built behind the fort.
