Lalbagh in
Bangalore is an favorite venue for the annual flower show. Held at Lalbagh Gardens, it is the biggest flower show in Bangalore. The first Flower Show was held here in 1922, and since then flower shows have attracted tourists as well as local populace. Wide varieties of flowers, ornamental plants, bonsais and medicinal plants are there for display and sale.
The Flower Show include exhibits such as potted plants, cut flowers and Ikebana and Indian floral art arrangements, Bonsai, vegetable carvings and the new Dutch flower art besides dried flower arrangements. Competitions are conducted for the best gardens of different types.
The flower show gathers over 50,000 visitors each day.
