Fama of Menino Jesuse is an annual festival held at the
Church of Our Lady of Mercy in
Colva, 6 km west of
Margao in
South Goa District. Built in 1630, the church houses a statue of Baby Jesus.
The festival is held on the third Monday of October. Festivities extend up to nine in the evening, starting from eight in the morning. On the festival day, the image of Child Jesus is brought out before public for worship and ‘umao’ (kissing).
