Falakata

Falakata is a taluk headquarters town in Jalpaiguri District, near Coochbehar District border, in West Bengal. Madarihat, a prominent town in the district, is 20 km north. Dhupgari, Joteswar Hat and Ramthenga are the nearby places. Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary and Dalgaon Tea Estate are the major points of attraction nearby. Coochbehar Airport and Civil Enclave Bagdogra are the nearest airports. Falakata Railway Station, located about 19 km from Jaldapara serves this area.
