Elysium is a hillock situated on the road leading through
Lakkar Bazaar, in
Shimla,
Himachal Pradesh. It is famous for the Auckland House, the erstwhile residence of Viceroy Lord Auckland. The house is now converted in to a girl’s school. Nearby is the Stirling Castle, now an orphanage for the Tibetan children and a center for the Tibetan exiles who have settled here.
