Edava Thalappoli is celebrated at
Nalussery Bhagavathy Temple in
Nalussery of
Palakkad District. This festival is conducted on the first Tuesday that comes after the 15th of the Malayalam month of
Edavam (May-June). Taking of ‘Thalam’ by girls on this day is considered auspicious.
Animal sacrifices were also conducted during ancient period.
