Edava

Edava is a serene and scenic area in Thiruvananthapuram District. It is about 5 km north of Varkala.

It is a place of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by small hillocks, rivers and lakes, and greeneries on all sides. Edava Nadayara canal snakes through the village. Ithikkara River flows nearby.

Nearest places of tourist interest include Palachira fresh water lake, Pozhikkara Beach, Paravoor backwaters.

Edavai Railway Station is on the Varkala-Kollam rail route. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport.
