Easter is the oldest of all Christian festivals, celebrated all over the world on the third day after
Good Friday. This is the day of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Christians all over India, especially in Mumbai, Goa and the north-eastern States, celebrate Easter. They attend the midnight mass and have feasting and fun during the day. The Easter bunny and the Easter eggs, popular in Europe and America, are not quite popular in India. Here the festival has regional influences. Often Hindus and people from other religions join in the festivities.
