Ernakulam, ENS Kalari Center offers training in both northern and the southern styles of Kalaripayatu. It was established in 1954 by E N Sreepathy Embranthiri Gurukkal. The kalari center is affiliated to the Kerala Kalaripayatu Association and is the only one authorized by
Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council. For the benefit of Indian and foreign students, printed books and videocassettes are arranged. The demonstration is held between 19:00 and 20:00 hrs and special visit to the kalari is allowed between 15:00 and 19:00 hrs every Sunday evening. Certificate courses and various special courses ranging from one week to one year are conducted by the center. It also provides accommodation for kalari certificate course students as well as for the students of the massage courses.
