Located in the eastern side of Ponda taluk, Durbhat is a small town in North Goa District. It is on the banks of the Zuari River and is nearly 2 km from Kavlem. Ponda, the taluk headquarters, is about 6 km east. Durbhat is noted for the mangrove forests in the region.
