A Buddhist site, Dupudu is about 80 km from
Ongole in
Prakasam District. The main attraction here is a stupa made of baked bricks with a pradakshina patha (circumambulation path).
The prasadkshina patha is a beautifully carved limestone slab and depicts two devotees worshipping a Bodhi tree and a stupa showing the railing, torana, a pavilion, a horse and a small figure. The lower border of the path is adorned with carvings of galloping winged lions. There is an inscription in the
Brahmi script on the top edge of the slab which specifies that the stupa belongs to the Satavahana era of 1st and 2nd century.
