Dumhal Dance, a dance form of
Jammu and Kashmir, is performed by the men folk of the Wattal tribe during special occasions. The costumes are long colorful robes and tall conical caps, which are studded with beads and shells.
At first, the performers move in a procession carrying a banner, which is dug into the ground. In course of performance, they form a circle. Vocal singing and drum are the accompaniments of this dance.
