Dumbur Reservoir is located in Tirthamukh, about 62 km from
Udiapur, in
South Tripura District of
Tripura. It is the main source of power generation in the district.
The Raima and Sharma rivers merge here to form the Gumti River, which in turn run over a stone with the shape of the head of the cow and create a natural waterfall.
The reservoir and its adjoining areas are noted for its picturesque views comprising tiny green islands and a charming lake. Boating and fishing facilities are available. A large variety of migratory birds can be seen here.
