Located on the banks of
Chambal and Kuno rivers, Dubkund is a picturesque village in
Morena District,
Madhya Pradesh. It is about 122 km south of
Gwalior. This tribal region is surrounded by hills and thick forests. One of the water reservoirs of this place is full of water all the year round and hence the name Dubkund. Dubkund is also mentioned as 'Dobh' in some historic inscriptions. In the end of the 10th Century, the Kachhapghats established their kingdom here.
Dubkund has an ancient Jain Temple and a temple of Har-Gauri. The place also has several images of the Tirthankars, Vidyadhars and other statues related with Shaiva and Vaishnava sects.
