Dravidian University

Dravidian University, established in 1997, is located a State University located at Kuppam in Chittoor District. This university is a collaborative venture of the Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

It has taken up the revolutionary work of translating Dravidian classics of Sangam Literature into Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on the lines of Pampa Bharat of Kannada. Besides, monographs and encyclopedias on saints, philosophers and religious leaders are covered under various projects. The university also involves in developing wide range of courses in Dravidian languages.
