Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry is situated at
Nauni, 14 km from
Solan, on Solan-
Rajgarh state highway.
It got its recognition as a university in December, 1985. The university offers undergraduate (B Sc) and postgraduate (M Sc and Ph D) courses in the fields of horticulture, forestry and its allied sciences including MBA in agri-business. An experimental farm attached with the main campus facilitates for research on mountain horticulture and forestry development. A placement cell has been organized for career counseling.
