Established in 1987, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology is located at
Jalandhar in
Punjab. Formerly known as Regional Engineering College, the institute provides B Tech program in nine disciplines of Engineering and Technology along with research programs leading to M Tech and Ph D. The graduate courses include computer science, electronics, instrumentation and control, mechanical and civil engineering.
The institute has a library for the benefit of faculty and students. There are six hostels for boys and one hostel for girls.
