Doom was a custom that existed in regions of
Himachal Pradesh. It is a peaceful revolt by the subjects of a particularly cruel or ruthless local Rana or Raja (ruler). People in the area struck work and moved to the nearby forests. This caused the stoppage of all activity in the region that forced the ruler to redress their grievances.
