Perched at an altitude of about 5,517 m, Donkiala Pass is situated in
North Sikkim District. The pass separates the Lachung Valley from the Lachen Valley.
CholaMu Lake, the source of river Teesta, has its course near the pass. The pass is at a distance of about 28 km from
Yumthang. Other nearby passes include Chorten Nyimala, Kongrala and Lungnala.
