Dhordo is a tribal settlement situated on the
Ludiya-
Bhuj road, in
Kutch District of
Gujarat. From this place, it is around 20 minutes drive to the fringes of the Indo-Pak frontier.
This ethnic village is famous for Mutwa Embroidery, which is a native art of the Maldhari, a sub-caste of the Muslim community. This highly involved sewing usually makes use of silk threads.
The Bhungas, the grass-roofed mud huts, are typical of this village. Made of traditional clay and white wash pattern, the huts are decorated with wall paintings glinting with mirror-work.
Dhordo is well connected with Bhirandiyara, Banni, Sherwa, Savada and Ludiya.
